Christian W. Petersen, Chief Financial Officer

Christian W. Petersen, Chief Financial Officer, joined The Damone Group in 1996 to manage the accounting, finance, treasury, information systems and administrative functions of the company. Mr. Petersen has been a Certified Public Accountant for fifteen years. His industry experience spans both public and private sectors to include Real Estate, Healthcare, Advertising, Manufacturing and Non-Profit Organizations.

Mr. Petersen has twelve years of experience in the real estate development and construction industry. Upon joining The Damone Group, Mr. Petersen organized the financial aspects of managing and reporting for a portfolio of commercial office properties. Mr. Petersen also worked closely with the principals of The Damone Group to develop and implement the financial systems and controls necessary to manage a newly established and expanding Assisted Living development, construction and investment business. Those practices included implementing policies and procedures, staff planning, reporting systems, investment and banking relationships, as well as converting the financial systems to a network platform solution. Over a four year period, Mr. Petersen has developed tax planning and asset protection strategies, placed equity and debt capital, negotiated joint ventures and project financing, performed due diligence for facility acquisitions and evaluated the systems necessary for operations management and start up of new assisted living facilities.

Prior to joining The Damone Group, Mr. Petersen was employed as Controller of a Detroit based Advertising and Marketing agency with billings in excess of $300 million. He managed the financial planning, analysis and reporting functions. This experience included working with a transition team to position the company for sale to a publicly traded advertising holding company. Mr. Petersen began his career in the Detroit office of Deloitte and Touche. His public accounting experience focused on the real estate and advertising industries. During his employment with Deloitte and Touche, he worked on a real estate related IPO for a national retail shopping mall developer/operator.

Mr. Petersen is a Registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan and holds a BS in Accounting from Wayne State University. He is active with several charitable organizations in the metropolitan Detroit area.
