Pamela Edwards Klein, Director of Affordable Housing, has more than 15 years of experience in the senior housing industry. She has been with The Damone Group since 2002. During that time she has been involved in the identification of new markets and the financing of over $40 million in new affordable housing developments. Tax credit financed projects is one of Ms. Klein’s specialty areas. She is a member of the Michigan Housing Council and serves on their Development-Finance Committee and Legislative Committee.
Prior to joining Damone, Ms. Klein was Senior Vice President for Alterra Healthcare, a publicly-traded assisted living company. In this role, she was accountable for the development and construction of $450 million in assisted living residences in 20 states. While at Alterra, she was responsible for managing market research, architectural and interior design, as well as development and construction. Additional responsibilities included strategic planning and facilitating the integration of acquisitions in the existing company portfolio. Ms. Klein was very active in Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) where she served on a number of committees. She has been an invited speaker on the national level on a number of topics relative to the development and operation of assisted living housing.
Ms. Klein holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Master Degree in Counseling from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science Degree from James Madison University.
